Film Show

Thursday 3 May 2012 - 7 for 7.30pm at Abingdon College, Northcourt Road

We join the local film society for a showing of a contemporary Italian comedy, made in 2010, entitled Loose Cannons (Mine vaganti). (Running time: 110 minutes)

Mike Bloom of ABCD says: "I found it very well-made (by a Turkish director, all of whose films, I think, are made in Italy or have an Italian connection) and genuinely very funny. It's based around the two sons of a pasta factory owner coming out as gay, or trying to, and the difficulties this creates all round. The comedy largely derives from the members of the extended family having their own guilty secrets."
