Youth Twinning - Sint-Niklaas

Youth delegations from all twin towns are invited to Sint-Niklaas (and possibly similarly to the other twin towns).

Visit to Lucca Luminara

9 - 14 September 2010

The Luminara on 13th September each year is a big annual religious festival with the streets lit by thousands of candles. Up to five representatives from each twin town may walk in the procession. This year ADTTS is arranging a group visit. It really is a special time of year to visit Lucca and we are planning a lovely programme, including a trip to the Island of Elba.

For those members going, the June Newsletter has further practical details and the provisional programme.

Stella will be hosting an open afternoon at her home The Old Bakehouse, Winterborne Road, Abingdon OX14 1AJ on Sunday 29 August for all members going to Lucca on the trip between 9 and 14 September. It will be a chance to meet others going on the trip, to pay the £95.00 if you have not already done so, to ask any questions and pick up your programme. Coffee, tea and cake will be served so please come anytime between 3 and 7pm.

If you are not free on the 29th please let Stella know and she will post your programme shortly after that date.

HOWEVER, in the meantime we need to see if there are enough people who would like a coach to Luton. If you have not done so already, please let Stella know if you would like to go by coach. We don’t have enough people yet to make it economically viable. If there are not enough then we can arrange shared lifts on the 29th.
